The Book

The Geometrical Swing is a book of 50 paintings from 2019 and 2020 by contemporary British artist Tim Muddiman. 

The work includes illusionistic architectural and abstract geometry as well as era-defining paintings examining Art Deco, urban landscapes, and iconic homes. The book also blends narrative cartoons of Hollywood and hallucinations with re-imagined British brutalism, blurring the lines between the fine and the applied arts.

The autobiographical introduction text examines a period of enlightenment and evolution from musician to painter at the end of a lengthy worldwide tour in 2018. In addition, the book features a foreword written by musician Gary Numan, with whom Muddiman shared a stage for many years as a band member.

The Calendar

12 images adapted in Pink, Mint Green and Black from original paintings by Tim Muddiman. More images of the artwork used in the calendar will be available soon.

Partnering with Silly Gooze Editions the artwork is Risograph Printed on 150 GSM, Loop Birch, 100% Post-Consumer waste fibre paper which is FSC certified, carbon neutral and produced with wind power.

The Eco-Friendly Risograph printing method is a technique best described as ‘digital screen printing'. The process is known for its vivid colours and specific textures that other printers can't produce.

The 2024 calendar has limited numbers of approximately 90 and once they are gone, they are gone. There is also a very limited number of 10 calendars available that are hand finished, hand stitched, hand signed and dedicated. 

The calendars will be despatched for Christmas delivery on 4th and 18th December 2023. If there are any left the post-Christmas delivery date will be 4th January 2024.
